May the force be with you when you drink this herbal blue milk!

In a galaxy far far away lives an herbalist aiding the rebels with her healing elixirs, but their favorite of course is herbal blue milk. It gives them a new hope…this elixir is also great for their gut helping them follow their intuition. So, make yourself a glass (if you can’t find a bantha to milk the recipe is below) and let it transport you to the deserts of tatooine.

First lets talk about the indgredients:

Chamomile (Matricaria recutita)
Soothing, calming to the nervous system, anti-inflammatory, and easing to gas and spasms. Traditionally used for teething pain, diarrhea, cramps, colds, stomach aches, fevers, irritability, night terrors, frazzled nerves, insomnia, tension headaches, anxiety, stress-induced digestive upset, IBS, morning sickness, and gastric ulcers. Lovely for both children and adults.

Pineapple / Piña (Ananas comosus)
Rich in minerals and vitamins with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Supports nervous system function and aids digestion, specifically bowel movements. Contains manganese, important for bone formation and enzyme activation, and copper, which supports iron absorption and blood pressure regulation.

Butterfly Pea (Clitoria ternatea)
Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypoallergenic, and noted for antidepressant qualities. May support healthy aging and is recognized as an antidiabetic herb. Traditionally used to ease coughs, act as a diuretic, support pain relief, and enhance cognitive function.

and now the fun, okay well I think learning about herbs is fun but crafting is play!

RECIPE:

1/2–1 tsp Butterfly Pea Flower Powder (or Blue Spirulina if you don’t want the color change)
1 oz Hot Water
12 oz Coconut Milk
3 dropperfuls Chamomile Glycerite (or 1/4 oz strong Chamomile Tea)
Maple Syrup or Honey (as desired)
1/2 oz Pineapple Juice

Optional:
Banana (to make it a smoothie)

DIRECTIONS:

Dissolve butterfly pea flower powder in 1 oz of hot water, whisking or blending until fully incorporated. Allow this to cool completely.

In a separate vessel, combine coconut milk with chamomile glycerite. If using chamomile tea instead, steep 1 tbsp chamomile in 8 oz hot water for 10 minutes, then add 1/4 oz of the tea to your milk (saving the rest to sip and enjoy later).

Sweeten the milk to your liking with maple syrup or honey, keeping in mind the natural sweetness of the glycerite.

Pour the blue mixture into your glass, then add the chamomile coconut milk, gently combining.

Finally, add the pineapple juice last and watch a galaxy form before your eyes as the blue deepens and shifts 🌌 The more pineapple juice you add (acid) the more the color will change… I did spill some trying to pour it in and take the video 🤣 so you will get more color change using the full 1/2oz 😜

For a creamier, more nourishing version, blend with a banana to create a dreamy, cosmic smoothie.

Enjoy the magic! ✨
